The TrioDent™ Technique

The TrioDent™ technique involves the use of a Tab-Matrix, Wave-Wedge, and V-Ring. These products are all available through Efficient Dental Technologies™. There are a number of different techniques used with the TrioDent™ system to create long-lasting composite fillings for patients.

Each technique involves the following elements. First, the TrioDent™ Tab-Matrix is placed between the affected tooth and the adjacent tooth. The Wave-Wedge is then inserted to hold the matrix firmly against the affected tooth. The TrioDent™ Wave-Wedge is unique in that it does not rise up and cause the contact point to rest too close to the margins. With its flexible tip, the Wave-Wedge conforms to the contours of gingival margins on both the buccal and lingual sides. Once in place, the TrioDent™ V-Ring is attached to the Wave-Wedge, firmly holding the Tab-Matrix against the treated tooth, preventing adhesive from spilling over, and providing an incredibly easy and effective way to construct composite restorations.
